The announcement and award ceremony for Outstanding CIPA Professionals was held at the Water Treatment Plant (ETA) and Water Collection Plant (CAB), units operated by SPSL S.A. in São Lourenço Production System. All SPSL S.A. professionals and their contractors working at these units were eligible to vote and be voted for. CIPA is a mandatory workplace safety committee in Brazil that focuses on accident prevention and employee health.

The election was organized by CIPA, and the selection criteria were based on the nominee’s engagement in occupational safety issues in their daily activities, demonstrating commitment and a proactive stance in accident prevention and health promotion in the workplace.

At ETA, the award went to Guilherme H. Nascimento, Maintenance Operations Coordinator at SPSL S.A., and at CAB, to Joel de Moraes, Security Guard at Tejofran.

“I would like to share this recognition with my coworkers, who are daily sources of inspiration and motivation in how I conduct my actions at the company,” commented Guilherme Nascimento in his acceptance speech.
