Strategic alliance brings together CEEC Brazil’s global experience, funding, and financial structuring with Grupo Energia’s deep technical and regulatory knowledge of the sector in Brazil.
The proposal offers complete clean energy storage solutions for power generators and medium-to-large commercial and industrial customers.
The agreement combines the global experience of CEEC Brazil, a China Energy group company, which in 2024 was involved in the development of more than 16 GWh of energy storage projects worldwide, with the consolidated operations of Grupo Energia in the country, a benchmark in engineering in the energy sector in Brazil. The partnership creates a unique ecosystem to serve medium and large industrial and commercial customers, as well as power generators in need of storage solutions.
The model integrates all stages of the project—technical development, investment, financing, implementation, operation, and maintenance—ensuring customers access to complete and customized solutions to increase energy efficiency and reduce operating costs. Storage applications can mitigate the limitation and curtailment of generation, which currently impacts the sector, in addition to meeting other customer demands.
“Our goal is to offer a solution that goes beyond technology. We want to provide customers with an integrated package that combines development, investment, financing, and participation in the operation of energy storage systems, allowing BESS to be a strategic and accessible service for the Brazilian productive sector,” says Marcelo Taulois, Deputy CEO & CDO of CEEC Brazil.
Grupo Energia has completed more than 1,400 projects, representing 185 GW of installed capacity in different sources and transmission systems, and has issued more than 1,300 Independent Engineering Reports or Due Diligence Reports for the market. Its expertise in project development, owner’s engineering, due diligence, and technical consulting complement the global experience of China Energy, which has been ranked in the Fortune Global 500 for eleven consecutive years and operates in more than 140 countries.
“This partnership combines the group’s international reach with our renowned local expertise. Together, we will deliver clean, integrated energy storage solutions, ensuring efficiency and reliability at every stage of the project for our customers,” said Rubens Brandt, CEO of Grupo Energia.
With this move, CEEC Brazil and Grupo Energia reaffirm their long-term commitment to Brazil’s sustainable development, offering innovative solutions in clean energy storage and contributing to the energy transition and decarbonization of the electricity matrix.
